One of Europe’s last unspoiled coast .
The house is located in the middle of costa Vicentina National Park dividing the park in 2 different seasides. The West Coast has sharp high cliffs and predominant bigger swells and its more exposed to the north wind. The South Coast, has a more mediterranean vibe, with calmer and warmer waters and shielded from the north windy that blows constantly specially in the months os summer, a relief from the warm days bringing a surprisedly cool breeze at night.
The Waves are constantly in the West Algarve, they can come big and rough in the West Coast, but once they surround the cape St Vicent they arrive gently and easy in the south coast. This phenomenon is what creates waves for all leves of surf. A surfer must always study the forecast and can also check with our hostess Antonia about the best spots for their level, but fun is mostly guaranteed here.
Best months for surfing are definitely winter months, there is no crowd, the beach breaks are perfect, the weather is surprisingly good, a wetsuit 4/3 is more than enough, and the waves are pumping. Mid Season is great, with warmer weather, still recommended a 4/3 wetsuit, a bit more crowd in the water but with waves for everyone. Summer with warmer waters, where a 3/2 wetsuit its fine, easy and calmer waves but with the summer crowd present in the water.
